Luca de Franceschi

Luca de Franceschi began his martial arts journey at 10 years old. He started with Taekwondo and boxing. After achieving his black belt in taekwondo and kickboxing he began to train in Muay Thai, and made several trips to train and compete in Thailand. He began his grappling journey in his early 20’s, and spent the better part of a decade learning freestyle wrestling under the tutelage of former Olympic Wrestler Igor Praporshchikov and Brazilians jiu jitsu under Igor Breckenback at Igor MMA in Sydney. He competed as an amateur MMA fighter until an accident forced him to give up his competitive career in 2017. Since then he has focused primarily on his BJJ, training under Yoshi Hasegawa at the CAZA team on the Sunshine Coast, with a hyper focus on ‘new school’ jiu jitsu and leglocks. He has also achieved a diploma of Pilates and has spent close to a decade working in physio therapy and athlete specific training. He brings a high intensity, high energy and a positive attitude to every class along with a versatile workout program. Get ready to sweat, smile and learn the jiu jitsu system used by some of the top athletes on the international competition scene today.
