Post Quarantine Belt Promotions at CAZA BJJ
July 29, 2020Shark Tank Planned For Recent Belt Promotions
September 3, 2020Since the COVID-19 quarantine restrictions were finally lifted here in Queensland, we’ve been amazed as just how enthusiastic the kids have been to get back into their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training. Not only that, but we’ve also had even more kids sign-up and get into BJJ for the first time.
CAZA BJJ’s head coach, Yoshi Hasegawa, and the kids’ coach, Sam Morrison, originally had concerns. The quarantine risked causing many students (or their parents) to withdraw from BJJ classes for the foreseeable future. But the vibe amongst the kids’ classes has been fantastic, and they are all training as well as ever.
A big part of the appeal for kids is the fun they have while learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Especially the younger children who respond well to the interplay between BJJ technique and games that improve their fitness and agility. Getting the mix right is essential as we also want to help improve their attention span.
BJJ builds a kid’s confidence
Kid’s BJJ classes often trigger a real boost in a child’s sense of self. We’ve seen shy kids join the club and quickly come out of their shell, find their voice and discover a feeling of confidence for the first time.
You’ll be pleased to know that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu it’s popular with both boys and girls. Kids train alongside each other regardless of gender. There is no bullying or aggressive behaviour.
CAZA kids can compete too – if they want to
CAZA is also known for having a very strong kid’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition team. This means that if your kids are interested in competing, we can support them all the way. They don’t have to, of course, but the option is always there.
Think your children may be interested?
If your kids would like to try Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, please contact us. We offer a free trial lesson too. This is a great way to see if they feel ready to join the CAZA family.
